Privacy
Last updated October 2026
Welkin is built so that we never see your journal. This page explains what that means in plain words.
In short
- No account
- No data collected
- Your journal stays on your iPhone
01No account
You never sign up or sign in. There is no profile of you on our side, so there is nothing for us to store or delete.
02No data collected
The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash reporting tools, and it does not send your entries anywhere. We do not collect, receive or store any information about you or how you use the app.
03Your journal stays on your iPhone
Everything you write is stored only on your device, protected by iOS file encryption. You can export it at any time from Settings, and deleting the app deletes the journal from your iPhone.
04Optional iCloud backup
When you turn on iCloud backup in Settings, your journal syncs through your own private iCloud account, managed by Apple under your Apple Account. We cannot read it. Turning it off stops syncing.
05Reminders and Face ID
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone; no server sends them. If you lock Welkin with Face ID, iOS handles the check, and the app never receives your face data.
06Children
Welkin collects no data from anyone, including children.
07Changes to this policy
If a future version changes anything on this page, we will update it here before that version is released and change the date at the top.
